Call the office. Ask us the same 4 questions you should ask everyone else.

The number below rings the Powersol office in Quincy, which is where Worcester County work is scheduled from. Tell us the town, the age of the roof and what the water is doing. That is enough to book the right kind of visit.

Active Leak Right Now: Call, Do Not Use the Form.

Call (617) 631-5435. Active water gets triaged ahead of scheduled visits. Move what is under the leak, put a bucket down, and photograph the stain before you clean anything. Full steps on the emergency roof repair page.

3 Fields, Then We Call You

Name, phone, and what the roof is doing. Everything else gets asked on the call, where you can answer it in 10 seconds instead of typing it.

FORM SPEC: this iframe is set to 420px, which assumes the LeadConnector form is cut to 3 fields plus a button. Cut it inside LeadConnector before publish. If it stays at its current length, restore height to 899px or the form will scroll inside its own box on mobile.

What happens next

What Actually Happens After You Call or Send the Form

A call back, a scheduled visit, photos, then a written scope. No number gets quoted before somebody has been on the roof or in the attic.

  1. We call you back and ask 5 things. Town, roof age, what the water is doing, whether there is attic access, and whether a claim is open. That decides whether you need an inspection, a leak trace, or an emergency visit.
  2. We book the visit and tell you who is coming. You get a name and an arrival window.
  3. Photos before anything else. You get pictures of what we found on your phone, with what each one is, before any price exists.
  4. A written scope, not a number. What is being removed, what is going back, and what is not included. That is the only version you can put next to another roofer’s quote and compare like for like.
  5. You decide, on your time. No same-day discount, no expiring price, no pressure at the kitchen table.

Before you dial

4 Things to Have Ready

None of this is required. All of it makes the first call shorter and the visit more useful.

The town, and the type of house

Triple-decker, Cape, Victorian, ranch. The rear section of a Worcester triple-decker is usually low-slope, which changes what we bring.

Roughly how old the roof is

Even a guess helps. “Previous owner did it” is a real answer and it tells us something.

Photos of the stain from underneath

One wide, one close. If you can get into the attic safely, a photo of the wet decking is worth more than 10 of the ceiling.

The claim number, if there is one

Plus the adjuster’s name if one has been assigned.

Worcester County Towns We Cover From Quincy

  • Worcester
  • Shrewsbury
  • Holden
  • Auburn
  • Millbury
  • Leicester

Outside that list, ask. The honest answer is sometimes no, and a no on the phone costs you less than a roofer who says yes and then cannot get a crew there.

Check Any Worcester Roofer, Including This One, Before You Hire

Massachusetts gives homeowners 3 tools and a registry. Most people never use them, and the pattern that follows every bad storm in Worcester County depends on that.

Out-of-state crews work neighbourhoods after a wind or snow event, offering free inspections and asking for a large cash deposit. Some of those jobs get half done. Massachusetts does not recognise out-of-state contractor licences, and the protections below only exist if the person you hire is registered here.

Look up the registration

Massachusetts publishes a searchable Home Improvement Contractor registry. Search the company name before the first visit, and again before you sign. Ask us for ours and look it up too.

Know the deposit rule

Under M.G.L. c.142A s.2 a deposit before work begins “shall not exceed the greater of one-third of the total contract price or the actual cost of any materials or equipment of a special order or custom made nature.” Half up front on a stock-material job is not allowed.

Know what the Guaranty Fund covers

If a registered contractor leaves you with an unpaid judgment, the state Guaranty Fund compensates eligible consumers for their actual loss up to $25,000. It only applies to registered contractors, which is the whole reason the registry check matters.

The 4 questions worth asking on the first call

  1. Have you pulled a Worcester building permit on a house like mine in the last 2 years?
  2. Will the ice barrier go past the 24 inch code minimum at the eave, and by how much?
  3. What is your actual lead time this week, after the weather we just had?
  4. Can I see the registration, the workers comp certificate, and a written scope that stays inside the deposit rule?

Ask us all 4. If any roofer gets uncomfortable at question 4, that is the answer to the other 3.

Questions

Before You Call: 6 Quick Answers

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Looking at the roof, taking photos and giving you a written scope costs nothing. What we will not do is give you a number over the phone without seeing the roof, because a number without a scope cannot be compared against anyone else’s number.

How far out are you booking in Worcester right now?

Ask when you call, because the honest answer changes week to week. After a heavy snow week or a wind event, every roofer in Worcester County is longer than usual and any company telling you otherwise is either not busy or not telling you. Active water coming in gets triaged ahead of scheduled work.

Do I have to sign anything to get the roof looked at?

No. Nobody signs anything to get a roof looked at. When there is work to do, Massachusetts law requires any residential contracting agreement above the statutory threshold to be in writing, and it caps what a contractor can take up front. A roofer who wants a signature before a diagnosis has told you something about how they work.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Call the same number and ask for Spanish. Estimates, scopes and paperwork can be handled in Spanish.

You are based in Quincy. Do you actually work in Worcester?

The office is at 100 Hancock St in Quincy and we say so rather than renting a Worcester mailbox to look local. Worcester County work is scheduled from that office. If you want to know whether we have been on a roof near you, ask on the call and we will tell you straight, including when the answer is no.

What if I already have an insurance claim open?

Have the claim number ready when you call. We document what we find, provide photos and a written scope, and meet the adjuster when that helps. We will not promise your carrier will approve anything, and we will not tell you to open a claim for damage that is age rather than an event.
