Our story

Powersol Roofing started with one truck, a few ladders, and a bet that homeowners were tired of vague quotes and crews that vanish after the deposit clears. We built the company around the opposite: itemized estimates in plain English, a phone a person actually picks up, and workmanship we would put on our own homes.
Over a decade later, that first crew has grown past 50 trained installers, and the job list has crossed 1,000 completed roofs across Quincy and the South Shore. More than 500 homeowners have hired us. What has not changed is how every job gets treated. Like it is ours.

There is a legal reason to care who you hire, and most homeowners have never heard it. In Massachusetts, any contractor doing residential roof work must hold a Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) registration from the state. That registration puts you behind the state’s Guaranty Fund, which can reimburse a homeowner up to $25,000 on an unpaid judgment against a registered contractor. A crew working off a magnetic sign and an out-of-state plate gives you no such backstop. Structural roof work in Massachusetts also requires a Construction Supervisor License, a separate credential from the state building board.
